Trolley Loading & Unloading
- Up to 180 rods/hour/robot
- Automated trolley loading before oven cooking
- Reduced manual handling and improved hygiene
Automate Sausage Trolley Loading Before Cooking
The Velec Trolley Loading & Unloading solution automatically transfers sausage strings from the stuffing line onto cooking trolleys before entering the oven process. Rods are robotically positioned with high precision and consistency to ensure stable cooking preparation and optimized production flow.
Designed for hygienic food environments, the system reduces manual handling, improves operator ergonomics, and increases productivity throughout the sausage processing line.
Trolley Loading
- Up to 180 rods/hour
The bars are taken directly from the filling line and positioned robotically on the trolleys. Operators are only required to transfer the trolleys to the oven, reducing effort and manual handling and improving hygiene and productivity.
Trolley Unloading
Once the cooking cycle is completed, the trolleys coming out of the oven are automatically unloaded. The sausage rods are robotically removed from the trolleys and transferred to the next processing stage with precision. Operators no longer need to manually handle hot rods, reducing physical effort, improving safety, and ensuring smoother production flow after cooking.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Trolley Loading & Unloading solution automates the handling of sausage rods before and after batch oven cooking.
Before cooking, sausage strings coming from the stuffing line are positioned onto rods, which are then robotically loaded onto cooking trolleys. After cooking, the rods are automatically removed from the trolleys and transferred to the next processing stage.
The solution is designed for straight sausages, hot-dog sausages, and cocktail sausages produced in strings.
The machine configuration is adapted to the sausage dimensions, string format, rod specifications, trolley design, and required production rate.
The system can load up to 180 rods per hour per robot.
The actual throughput depends on the rod configuration, trolley capacity, product format, line layout, and required loading pattern.
The standard solution automates the loading and unloading of the sausage rods. Operators can remain responsible for transferring the loaded trolleys into the oven and returning them to the unloading station after cooking.
Additional trolley handling automation can be studied depending on the plant layout and production requirements.
Automated unloading reduces direct contact with hot rods and freshly cooked products.
It also limits repetitive lifting, awkward movements, and handling near hot equipment, helping create a safer and more ergonomic working environment.
Yes. The solution can be engineered around existing trolley and rod formats, subject to a technical assessment.
Velec Systems reviews the trolley dimensions, rod geometry, loading pattern, oven process, available space, and upstream and downstream equipment before defining the final configuration.
